Samuel Worthington (born 2 August 1976) is an actor from Perth, Australia. He won a scholarship to the John Curtin School of Performing Arts in Fremantle, WA. He graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1998.

He won critical acclaim and much attention for his first professional role - as Arthur Wellesley in Belvoir Street Theatre's production of Judas Kiss, directed by Neil Armfield. Television appearances include Backberner; JAG; and Water Rats. Worthington made his feature film debut in 2000 in the movie Bootmen. He made his US film debut in 2002 with a minor role in “Hart's War” starring Bruce Willis and Colin Farrell. In 2004 he made his directorial debut on the short film, “Enzo”. He is slated to play Jack Sully, the lead role in James Cameron's upcoming film Avatar.
